At Yogo, part of our purpose is to constantly find more sustainably and earth-friendly ways of doing business creating great yoga mats, that are easy on the Earth. With planetary sustainability more important than ever, we are committed to supporting the most planet-friendly methods and protecting vital pieces of Earth’s systems like the Amazon rainforest.
That’s why we are the only yoga mat company to commit to using 100% FSC-certified sustainably farmed natural tree rubber in all of of our yoga mats. This certification means going beyond buzzwords like “green” or “eco” to ensure real transparency.

What does the FSC certification mean?
FSC (the Forest Stewardship Council) is a standardization and certification body that inspects forest product supply chains from the farm’s soil all to the final distribution shelves to make sure that goods were produced responsibly in social and ecological aspects. This helps combat deforestation: when agricultural goods are made around the world, sometimes in order to get access to new land, heritage forest is cleared or burned, destroying irreplicable natural assets, native peoples’ land and animal habitat. These heritage ecosystems are not just a storehouse of biological and cultural treasures, but a critical reserve and sponge for carbon, keeping our climate stable. Instead, FSC farms must: not deforest land, use ecologically responsible farming, protect native folks’ rights, pay fair wages, and other measures.
Using the FSC standard helps define “sustainable” in more concrete terms – supply chains with the FSC seal of approval have been audited and inspected repeatedly every step of the way, on a rigorous grading system.
Raising our vibes through yoga should not mean trashing our planet. By upholding this high standard and always buying FSC when possible, we support ethical practices, protect the planet against climate change, and push for better practices across the yoga industry.

Yogo carefully examines every detail of our products and ensures they are as green as possible. Besides high standards in our primary material, Yogo also uses recycled, recyclable, and biodegradable paper packaging with a low waste design, and recycled fibers for our mats’ attached straps and labels, from water bottles and other sources of waste.
